World pipe band championships!

This is the first year that my band, Macmillan Pipes and Drums, is entered and going to the world pipe band championships in August in Glasgow, Scotland. I have never competed in this competition and am very excited to go. The problem is that just the flight alone at this time is far more than I can possibly afford and the price is going up every week. At this point (March), the prices for flights are nearing $900.
I never ask for help, but Pipe Band is my life and I can't stand the thought of letting down my band mates because I can't afford a flight. At this time I am aiming for $1200 to account for ticket increases and being able to feed myself. Please help me help my band bring home the championship!
