It is no secret that Mom is having severe hearing issues. It is unsafe and frankly dangerous given her circumstances.  She does have Kaiser, who recently performed a hearing test. It was clear she needed a hearing device. In the past, she has had over-the-counter hearing aids, but some of the professionals we have spoken to have stated these are increasing the issues related to her hearing impairment. Unfortunately, her Kaiser plan does not cover the expense of hearing aids. We have been pursuing options for her to enable her to receive fitted prescription hearing aids to regain most of her hearing loss and thereby, increasing her quality of life and providing some level of safety.  We have tried different discount programs- some stating the discount applies once membership dues and open enrollment are processed. She was provided a list by Kaiser for "Dispensing Audiologists"  One member on the Kaiser list stated they will provide a small discount. but the pricing is still approximately $4500-4800 dollars. We are going to need help to achieve that amount. Once paid for, they should take 2-2 1/2weeks to be manufactured and ready to wear.

To recap, Mom/Martha/Tia/Grandma needs help to pay for hearing aids. We are asking for donations to meet this need.  Please give what you can. Don't be shy to ask other family members, as this is a big expense. One that she cannot shoulder on her own.  She really needs your help
