Слава Ісусу Христу!
Glory be to Jesus Christ!
Dear Friends of Fr. Myron Panchuk,
Very Reverend Myron Panchuk, Ph.D., of St. Joseph the Betrothed Ukrainian Catholic Church in Chicago, passed away March 9, 2019 at the age of 64. In spite of his reliance on a wheelchair in recent years, Father Myron remained well-known, active and mobile. He was a brother, an uncle, spiritual father, mentor and a dear friend. He served as the vice president of the Ukrainian Genocide Famine Foundation, was a member of the Kyiv Committee of Chicago Sister Cities International where he focused on Social Service Exchanges and was a chaplain for both Plast Chicago, Ukrainian Scouting Organization and Ukrainian American Veterans Post 32. Deprived of his feet and with an excess of serious ailments, he wrote and defended a doctorate in psychology. His optimism, faith, and thought-provoking outlook both amazed and fascinated his parishioners and colleagues.
Please join us in praying for him and continuing his mission to preserve our faith and liturgical traditions. In order to continue his mission, in lieu of flowers, we have opened the “Fr. Myron Panchuk Memorial Fund” at Selfreliance FCU account #171443. The proceeds of this account will be divided among the organizations that were an integral part of his life.
Thank you for your donations in memory of our dear friend and spiritual father, Fr. Myron.
