Fr. Manny’s Medical Crisis
Fr. Manny Gomez, dear to SO many people, shared on his 36th birthday, this past Monday 12/2/19, that he was diagnosed with cancer & began
chemotherapy that same day.
Although in pain & having difficulty
breathing, Fr. Manny has accepted what he termed “God’s gift with an ugly wrapper”, in such a Fr. Manny-esque manner—with humility, grace & selflessness. He shared that this
is “helping him share more closely
in Jesus’ passion, & giving him an
opportunity to offer the disease for
his continued conversion &
salvation”.
Fr. Manny has 1 cousin in the area,
and his mother & aunt arrived from Mexico a few days ago. His
remaining family in Mexico is trying to get their father a visa, ASAP, so
that he may travel here to also be
present to Fr. Manny.
This appeal is to raise much needed funds to help Fr. Manny’s family
with all of the unexpected expenses associated with these tragic
circumstances. (Gas for at least (2) 60 mile round trips per day, meals, winter clothing for his mother &
aunt), & travel expenses for his
father & any other family traveling here from Mexico to be with
Fr. Manny.
While your prayers are the most
powerful & helpful assistance for
Fr. Manny & his family, to be sure, it would be greatly appreciated if we could also help relieve them of any
financial burdens at this time.
