Hi there, my name is Heather. This last week has been a LOT. I thought I had the flu and ended up in the hospital with an internal bleed. While I was recovering, a CT scan revealed I have tumors on both my kidneys. Las Vegas Urology is pretty sure it's cancer. I will know more Wednesday after my oncology appointment. Right now they are saying I will be losing both my kidneys. I will be on dialysis for the rest of my life. I have insurance and I can keep my job, but my time off for recovery will not be paid. It is likely I will also have travel expenses since they say I will have to go to UCLA for the surgery. I am sorry to reach out, but I honestly don't know what else to do. People are asking how to help and this is one way to assist. So many have done a lot so far, but I have to ask for help. Anything is appreciated. As I get info, I will be updating regularly.
