Hello family and friends!!

As some or most of you know, I got a teaching job and am a real grown-up teacher now! Next year I’ll have my own classroom and teach 5th grade :)

I finally got into my classroom last week and learned that nothing from the previous teacher stayed in the classroom, and since I’m new, I have nothing myself to put the classroom together. The school is providing a budget for the essential supplies and starting a library but there is a lot more that goes into a modern classroom and the environment I want to create for these kiddos.

I’m uncomfortable asking this but I know this is part of being a teacher/human- I’m asking for any kind of help. I’ve been finding great things on Facebook Marketplace and consciously ordering things that I need or want while on a budget. However things are adding up quickly and we are also in the process of buying a house (coincidently our move-in date is the first day of school, wow!) so it's a lot all at once.

So, if there’s anything anyone wants to contribute (anything helps) I would GREATLY appreciate it but there’s no pressure at all. Thanks for all your support (emotionally and/ or financially)!!
