Dear friends,
It breaks my heart to update you on my current situation. My sister, the only family member I had left to turn to, has refused to help me in my time of need. As a result, I am now facing the possibility of being homeless. My mental health is deteriorating, and I am scared for myself and my future.
I am reaching out to you for help. I am fundraising for my monthly rent so that I can keep a roof over my head. As some of you may know, I was let go from my job at the airport because I refused to tolerate poor management practices that put the health and safety of our guests and employees at risk. It was a difficult decision, but one I made with integrity and a commitment to doing what is right.
Now, I am in a desperate situation and I need your help. I have until the end of the month to come up with the rent, and I am asking for any amount you feel comfortable contributing. Please only give if you are financially able to do so.
I have considered moving away from Vancouver, BC, because of the lack of homeless shelters, it is a scary thought. I have attached some videos that go into more detail about my situation if you would like to know more.
