Delilah's Journey
Donation protected
For those of you that know us, you're already aware of our beautiful daughter Delilah. But for those who don't, let me tell you a little bit about our journey.
Delilah was born February 26, 2022. She passed her initial tests and exams with flying colors. We were so excited to take our baby girl home. Unfortunately less than 24hrs after birth we noticed something wasn't right and she was brought to the nicu. After two weeks of different tests to pin point what exactly was going on, we were sent to Boston Children's Hospital.
Once at Boston Children's Hospital we learned more about Delilah's condition (which I won't go into detail publicly just for her privacy). We were told that Delilah's first 2-6 months of her life would have to be spent in a nicu with breathing support and other assistance until she was big enough to have a successful surgery.
Delilah has been nothing but smiles the whole time, and doesn't let anything get her down! She has made such huge strides and after over 4.5 months in the hospital, she is finally going to get her surgery! We will still have some time in the hospital post op, but we will be one step closer to having our princess come home.
Although we were prepared for me to be out of work for a little bit, we did not plan for our current situation. With needing to be available to visit Delilah in the hospital, and the care she will continue to need once we FINALLY get her home, it may be a little bit before I can get back to work more than a few hours a week.
We have gone through a lot of gas driving thousands of miles to visit this princess, had to pay for hotel stays in Boston (even discounted rooms are expensive), and keep up with regular bills on top of it. Delilah is worth every penny we've spent and will have to spend going forward. But a little help from our village would go a long way to help us with expenses during Delilah's journey.
Delilah asks that you treat everyone with kindness, and meet every day with a smile. If you can't donate, please send all the good vibes that you can. We can't wait to get this precious girl home!
