Help survivor of Waterville assault
On February 7th, an elderly woman from Waterville, Maine, was sexually assaulted while in the privacy of her own home. This page is being established to raise money to cover the short and long term medical, counseling, moving and housing costs related to this horrific act.
The survivor is a strong woman. Mother, sister, friend - breast cancer survivor - widow. Church volunteer and follower of Jesus. She is now unable to return to her home, forced to leave and facing costs for moving, repairs due to the break-in, and untimely sale of her only home. Immediate medical needs may exceed the coverage of insurance by thousands of dollars. While she would never ask for charity herself, as she is always one to give to others, her family is establishing this fund to ensure she gets the care and support she needs and deserves.
Any funds raised that exceed her direct needs for care and support will be donated to charities that support victims of sexual assault, such as RAINN and the Joyful Heart Foundation.
