Lilly's Surgery
Lilly has been my best friend for 13 years. When my mother was still alive, she let me keep her as a kitten and she's moved all over Los Angeles with me through home after home that proved not to be as reliable as her unconditional love.
After recent and sudden weight loss, I took Lilly in to see the vet and unfortunately, x-rays revealed a large mass in her belly. They aren't sure yet if the mass is removable, as it's unclear if the mass is inside her spleen (best case) or surrounding her organs (worst case).
The next step Lilly & I can take is an exploratory surgery to determine if she's treatable. If they are unable to remove the mass, the surgery will be $1000 and I'll need to decide if I'll put her down OR if I'll make the most of her days left (leaning toward this one). If they CAN operate on the mass and treat her, it'll be upwards of $1600 to begin the healing.
