Hello lovely people!
I’m going on a mission trip through Youth With A Mission for 6 months! The school I will be attending is called Humility and Hunger-DTS (Discipleship Training School) in Perth, Australia. It starts October 6, 2019, and goes till March 21, 2020. Youth With A Mission-DTS has a 12-week lecture phase that teaches students how to hear God's voice, go deeper into the character of God the Father's heart, how to evangelize, what missions really look like, and more! This is a great way to gain more experience in the mission field, grow in God’s character and experience something not a lot of people would want to experience.
After this, there’s an outreach phase for another 12 weeks that takes what we learn into practice. Where we would go for outreach is TBD. Some of it might be in our community, and some of the time we will be going to a third world country or multiple. Each base is different. The school leader might pick locations for the students to choose from. These options could vary but the base in Perth, Australia is known for sending people to South Asia. We pray about where God would want us to go specifically which is typically a few weeks after starting the school! I have a lot of unknowns right now. After I graduated from high school, I was a timid little girl who had low expectations on God and what he would make of my life. I had no clue what God was going to do in the midst of this two-year growing period when I said yes to Northwest Leadership College. He surely healed me and definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone! Through this process of accepting the fact that God wanted me to do this, I prayed and prayed. I asked the Lord, “Are you sure God? I don’t want any of this to be of me or for me. It’s all for you.” After months of having dreams and praying to God about this, he blatantly made it so clear that he wanted me to do this. I believe there are people in this world waiting to be loved and waiting for someone to tell them that God loves them. I’m passionate to show and tell of God’s love to people who desperately need it. That still includes you and me. I believe God wants to use the gifts he’s given me to grow his kingdom.
With all that being said, I’d love for you to partner with me! What this will look like is lots of prayer and financial support. While I’m home and in the field, I need lots of prayers. Prayer for safety, provision, health, and growth. My financial need is that I need to raise $10,300 dollars! If you’d like to partner with me financially in this next season, I would greatly appreciate it. As a 20-year-old college student, this number seems impossible to reach, but I know God has called me to this and will provide. The financial support will cover my visa, health insurance, airfare and the schooling/YWAM program.
