Kira needs our help. On July 19th, she was crossing the street with a green light when a driver ran the red light at full speed and crashed into Kira and another person. Thankfully, Kira survived. The other victim was not as lucky.
Kira’s injuries are severe. Both of her legs are badly broken in multiple places, her knees are shattered, her pelvis is broken and she is in great pain. Her road to recovery is going to be very long.
The driver of the car that hit Kira had no insurance, a history of arrests and thousands of dollars in unpaid tickets. It is not the first time she has hit someone while driving. How she was allowed to continue driving is simply unbelievable.

Kira has helped so many of us over the years and done countless hours of pro bono work to help those who could not afford her healing services, and now she needs our help. Her medical care will most certainly cost more than insurance will cover, she will need private nursing care and there will be years of physical therapy ahead, and it’s unclear when she will be able to work again. The goal we have set is based on the number 18, which in Judaism, means life. She’s given so much life to so many, and now she has been given a second life. In Kira’s words, there is a reason for everything, and we can help her find that purpose.
Please find it in in your heart to help Kira and her devoted husband Frank by easing some of their financial burden. They need us all to step up now.
