Family Needs Help for funeral expenses

October 11th 2023 was the worst day of my family’s life. As the ER doctor came into the room and sat next to his bed told us he’s in liver failure and will need a liver to be saved. Enrique has been in and out of the hospital nine times since diagnosis. Countless medical testing and procedures and numerous times being told he won’t survive unless he gets a new liver. How do you explain to your four children that their dad is dying and might not make it. We live in a small town and the medical facilities have been wonderful trying to keep Enrique alive. We finally had a chance to seek medical attention outside of our city. Our first visit we thought it was a death sentence. We continued to fight after we thought it was the end, then finally a miracle was about to happen. Enrique is currently at Banner Health in Phoenix undergoing numerous testing for a liver transplant. This news was the best news to our family. As his primary caregiver I have had to take an unpaid leave of absence from work and travel back and forth to Phoenix. For anyone who knows our family we were never the ones to ask for help. At this time we have no choice but to ask our families and friends and our wonderful Yuma community for help. The donations we receive will be going towards travel cost and lodging while we wait for the news on a donor. Please pray for our family as Enrique still isn’t doing good and is still very sick. This has been a nightmare that I’m still in and can’t wait until I wake up.
