Foxy's Feminization Fund

INTRO and INTENT
Hey, fellow tabletop nerds and anyone else who wants to help a cool cat… er… fox person! The OSR community has a reasonable reputation for being predominantly white and male. It’s more important than ever before to have representation in our community by folks of all different appearances and identities, both to make sure everyone feels comfortable being their authentic selves and to serve as beacons for others who are underrepresented. Therefore, when I saw Foxy was lamenting the state of things and the financial hardships preventing access to gender affirming care, I knew our gaming community would step up and give back so we can remove some of the stress she is facing.

When I was first getting into DCC and MCC and joining the associated Discord communities, seeing and getting to know Foxy made me feel safer as someone who is nonbinary and bisexual. I felt like, if they have been able to grow and thrive within the community, there at least wasn’t a wall of bigotry holding them back. I am sure there are many of you who had a similar experience. Hate and toxicity are so common these days, especially in some online spaces, that many of us need a bit more reassurance that we are home, and the welcoming and open nature of the GG community is something that sets it apart. Foxy has been and remains a huge part of why our community makes such a great, welcoming first impression and, even more importantly, genuinely holds up that promise as a great place to be, spend time, and make new memories and friends.

Times are tough, especially for those just trying to live their authentic lives as queer individuals. Thus, I am asking everyone to chip in so that Foxy can afford the gender-affirming care she deserves and struggle a bit less through these super weird (and not in the fun-weird way) times. As you’ll see in the bio below, she’s done so much more than just be a queer furry nerd. Foxy has given so much of herself to this community and has been a queer lighthouse in a sea that often suffers for its own uniformity.

BIO
Foxy is one of the hardest working tabletop gamer advocates and activists that many of us will ever know. Specifically, she is first and foremost an advocate and activist for LGBTQ+ individuals in all OSR spaces, especially Goodman Games-published TTRPGs such as Dungeon Crawl Classics and X Crawl Classics. Foxy has also organized and assisted charity events many of which are streamed on Twitch and YouTube, as well as helming gaming events geared for fundraising. These events have raised funds for groups such as Trans Lifeline, Food Not Bombs, and The Starlight Foundation. Lastly, Foxy organized and implemented a convention in South Bend, Indiana, called GoblinCon . This convention merges tabletop gaming, cosplay, and nerd and queer culture all into one hall. Lastly and certainly not leastly, Foxy was recognized in 2021 by being given a Goodie Award for community participation. For those who don’t know, the Goodie Awards are special recognition for those in the Goodman Games fandom who the community and Goodman Games staff want to recognize for their contributions to the gaming family and culture through engagement and/or content.

Beyond the charity work and activism Foxy is still very much immersed in the OSR and gaming community as a gamer, judge, and even a Goodman Games Santa “Claws!” She hosts her own game sessions professionally , many of which are live-streamed. You can also find her talk show streams titled “The Fox Den ”, where she interviews indie game designers and artists who make content based on DCC. Lastly, Foxy is employed by Goodman Games as a distribution specialist. If you see a sketch or sticker of a fox person on your box and/or a simple “thanks!”, you know who added that nice little touch to make your box of chaos that much more special!
Thanks so much for taking time to view the page. If you can’t donate, no worries, but please share the link far and wide and pass on some of that Foxy Mojo by just being present and advocating for those underrepresented in our gaming community.
