Hi, my name is Hannah, and I am raising money for Foxy's eyelid reconstructive surgery at the Eye Clinic for Animals.
He was born with Eyelid Agenesis, which means his eyelids are malformed. Because of this, he can't blink properly, exposing his eyes and drying them out, and his eyelids roll in, meaning that his fur rubs against his eyeballs, irritating and damaging them. It's an excruciating condition he desperately needs addressing and requires specialists to do so.
He was found along with his brothers at a drive-through in Granville. Two other rescuers and I spent hours late one night trapping the three kittens who were malnourished and terrified. They have been loved and cared for with great skill and patience by their foster carers, and all other medical needs that have popped up have been addressed so far.
Foxy has a bright future ahead of him but can't go much further until his eyes are addressed. It wouldn't be fair for him. I'm very grateful for the help the Eye Clinic for Animals has already offered by providing a discount and capping the cost of the surgery; however, the price is still quite steep and I would greatly appreciate any help people can provide.
Update: I'm beyond moved and blown away by people's generosity. If there is any additional money raised beyond the $2,500, it will be going directly into paying for other rescue vet bills. Foxy alone has a vet bill of $735 outside of the $2,500 for this upcoming surgery. Two more cats will need eye surgeries in the next few months. No money will be wasted or used for any other purpose.
Thank you all
