Foxy Roxy needs some help

As many of you may already know our baby girl Roxy had emergency surgery the other day. On Monday we noticed Roxy was not acting like her self and as the day went on her symptoms got worse. We decided to take her to a 24 hour emergency vet. Unfortunately we found out that she was bleeding into her abdominal from a mass on her spleen. As a young 5 year old pooch we were devastated and hit with a brick wall. Roxy is our best friend and we would do anything for her. The pricing of her surgery was way more then we could afford. We called every veterinarian within 500 miles to see what they could do for us but unfortunately they all said they needed the money up front. We new we didnt have much time because her symptoms were only getting worse and at this point she couldn't even walk. Finally we were told to go to flannery animal hospital in new windsor. We called them right up and told them our situation. They never even questioned us about money. They told us to bring her right in and they will talk to us about payment options. We never felt so relieved. Once we got there Dr. Winters told us her health is declining very fast. She told us Roxy had a 50/50 shot of making it out of surgery. Her blood pressure was very low and she was anaemic. Roxy needed a blood transfusion asap and needed to go into emergency surgery. We held Roxy in our arms and cried as we said goodbye. We told her to fight and not give up as we wouldn't give up on her. A few hours later Dr winters called us and told us that her condition was alot worse then we thought and she was bleeding more then we hoped. The good news was she made it through the surgery and was going to spend some time in the ICU. Dr winters saved our dogs life and never once told us she wouldn't help us because of money. She took action and made us feel like our dog was in good hands. Roxy has a long road ahead of her and we couldn't be more grateful for the love and support. A new challenge is ahead of us however. We sent out a biopsy to make sure it is not cancerous. Let's all hope and pray her fight is over. We understand if you cant donate alot but all we ask is for a little help. Anything will do. Leslie and I want to thank everyone for the out pouring of love and support for our sweet Roxy. We will keep everyone updated on her condition via Facebook.
