Hi, my name is Robin Kaip and I am a German high school teacher in Summerville, SC. I am originally from Munich, Germany, and am hoping to organize a Germany/Bavaria-themed festival to celebrate the German program at the school, and bring German culture to life for my students and colleagues with live music by a traditional German brass band, The Steubenville Tootlers, some carnival-type activities and some German food such as potato salad, sausages and pretzels.

While I'm hoping to make/build a lot of the decorations myself, I am in need of some additional funds to cover the cost for the band, the food, and some of the decorations.

The band will cost $1500.00 (They will be traveling from Greenville, SC). I anticipate the food to cost around $500.00, and I will require an additional $200 for decorations and small prizes.

I would love to make this happen for my students at the school, not only because it would provide a wonderful opportunity for them to experience the culture they have been learning about, but it would also serve as an opportunity to highlight the German program for future students. Organizing this event means a lot to me, as I get to share parts of my home culture with my students and colleagues.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Robin Kaip
