Fox Family Needs Help After Tragic Fire

Our names are Jackie and Tyler Fox. We have 3 kids: a daughter and 2 sons. Our daughter lives with us full-time. Also, we have recently opened our home to a friend in need. We have four dogs, and we had two guinea pigs, Scarlett and Penelope. Sadly, we lost Penelope a few days prior to this.

We are the owners of 1115 E Southport Dr, the house that caught fire around 10:30 PM on February 6, a Thursday. We lost everything, and all we have is what we were wearing out of the house. We had a pet guinea pig named Scarlett that perished in the fire. We got everybody out except we couldn’t find our dog Onna. By the grace of God, somehow after almost an hour, that baby girl came walking out of there in very bad shape. That’s a blessing alone. Our animals are like our kids in our hearts.

We are not expecting anybody to feel like they have to help, but if you can, it would be a blessing. Our dog is in Honey Creek Animal Hospital, and I’m trying to find a way to also get her taken care of. Prior to this, we had lost our jobs at the same time, and our homeowners insurance recently lapsed, so there’s no getting help from them. Everything has happened so fast. We lost all mine and my husband’s stuff. Our daughter’s stuff is completely gone. Our son’s stuff is completely gone. Our friend’s stuff is completely gone. We’ve literally lost everything.

We think it’s narrowed down to what caused the fire, which was an A and O electric tankless hot water heater. We weren’t aware at the time that they’ve been causing fires until we looked it up.
