Outdoor Education Classroom Pavilion

Friends of WC Wetzel State Park is planning an outdoor education classroom pavilion at Wetzel State Recreation Area in Macomb County Michigan. We already have a State approved WIP for the project and are currently working on design and plans.
During the past 6 years Friends has brought more than five hundred 4th grade students, boy and girl scouts to the park for field trips geared toward nature, environmental and resource stewardship education.
Once we reach our fundraising goal we will seek a matching grant from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund. Friends will provide much of the labor for construction making donation and grant monies go further.
