Four women take on the World's Toughest Row

Aileen, Corrine, Daisy and Jess here! We are a team of four women who will be rowing 3,000 miles across the Atlantic this December as part of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge.

On the 12th of December we will depart La Gomera in the Canaries, racing over 40 teams participating from around the world. We will be rowing 2 hours on, 2 hours off for around 50 days, battling sea sickness, salt sores and sleep deprivation.

Team Full Throttle share a common desire to challenge ourselves to the fullest, to immerse ourselves within the elements and to push past our comfort zones. This is the ultimate endurance challenge, completely unsupported in our 8m Ocean rowing boat, Catch of the Day.

We will be supporting four charities very close to our hearts; World Vision - Ukraine, Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), Maggie's Cancer Care and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

We are currently fundraising to help pay for an almighty list of equipment, our boat, our toilet bucket, boat transportation, food to keep up energised, training to ensure we are ready to take on anything thrown at us and a number of other wonderful items that until this challenge I had never heard of. Once we have completed the challenge, we hope to sell a number of these items and donate the money to our four chosen charities.
