Some of you may have heard, but for those who have not, our dear friend Jordan Muschamp recently learned that his cancer has returned. This is heartbreaking news, but anyone who knows Jordan knows this: he has beaten leukemia before, and we believe with everything in us that he can beat it again. Jordan has been fighting this disease, on and off, since 2010. Over the last 16 years, leukemia has taken more from him than most people could ever understand. It has stolen time, memories with friends and family, career momentum, normalcy, and countless experiences. It has disrupted the simple, linear life so many people hope for — growing up, falling in love, building a career, getting married, starting a family, and moving forward without interruption. But what leukemia has not taken is Jordan’s spirit. Through every battle, Jordan has continued to live with faith, grit, humor, gratitude, and love. He has climbed mountains in British Columbia, graduated from Darlington and Auburn, moved to Atlanta, built a real estate career, and created memories he will carry forever with the people he loves. He is hardworking, ethical, caring, and truly one of those people who is always willing to help. He is the kind of friend, colleague, son, and human being you feel lucky to know. Jordan is currently at Emory, where he is expected to spend at least the next month undergoing treatment. During this time, and in the months ahead, he will need to step back from work so he can focus fully on fighting this cancer again. That is why we are creating this fundraiser. Our hope is to help ease the financial burden Jordan may face while he is unable to work — including everyday living expenses, medical-related costs, meals, transportation, and anything else that allows him to focus on treatment, healing, and getting stronger. Jordan has always shown up for the people in his life. Now it is our turn to show up for him. Whether you are able to give, share this fundraiser, send a meal, say a prayer, or simply remind Jordan that he is not fighting alone, every bit of love and support matters. Jordan once wrote that leukemia has robbed him of many things, but it cannot take his spirit, his faith, his love for his family and friends, or his love for the life he is fighting so hard to keep living. So now we rally around him — with faith, hope, and the belief that leukemia can throw its best punch, but Jordan will throw his right back. Thank you for loving Jordan, supporting him, and helping carry some of the weight during this next fight.
