The devastating Foster City condo fires took the homes and nearly all the belongings of four households in our school community. Three are families with children at Audubon Elementary and Bowditch Middle School. One is a beloved Foster City Elementary teacher and her daughter.

Every dollar raised here supports all four households.

Who we're supporting:

The Salomaa family — A longtime Foster City family with two daughters, one at Bowditch Middle School and one at Audubon Elementary School.

The Alnafour family — A family of nine who moved to Foster City four years ago and quickly became a valued part of our community. Their children attend Bowditch Middle School and Audubon Elementary School, where they're known for their love of school and their excitement about learning.

The Rohan family — A family whose daughter is part of our community at Audubon Elementary School.

Margaret Pawlick — A Foster City Elementary School teacher and her daughter. Margaret started in our district as a substitute in 2016 and became a full-time teacher in 2018. Her daughter attends Hillsdale High School and is a former district student. Margaret is loved by the students, staff, and families at Foster City School.

What they're facing:
All four households are displaced and starting over. In the weeks ahead, they'll be working through the same overwhelming list: finding somewhere to live, replacing clothing and basic necessities, and absorbing the many unexpected costs that come with losing everything at once. Right now they are taking it one day at a time. The road ahead will be long.

How your donation helps:
Funds will go directly to the four households to cover immediate needs — housing, clothing, food, and additional expenses.

Any contribution, no matter the amount, makes a difference. If you aren't able to give financially, sharing this fundraiser is a meaningful way to help.

Thank you for keeping these families in your thoughts, and for showing them they are not alone.
