**Update Below**

Hi everyone,

I’m writing on behalf of my best friend’s mom, Karen Dobschutz, who is currently fighting stage four cancer that has spread to her liver and throughout her body, along with several other serious health complications.

Karen’s journey with cancer did not begin recently. Over the years, she has faced and survived three different types of cancer—lung, breast, and cervical cancer—showing incredible resilience and determination each time. Unfortunately, those battles came with lasting physical, emotional, and financial impacts. Years of treatments, hospital stays, medications, and recovery have placed a significant strain on Karen and her family long before this most recent diagnosis.

Now, as she confronts advanced liver cancer, the challenges have intensified. The past few months have been filled with frequent hospital visits, treatments, medications, and ongoing care, taking a tremendous toll on Karen and those closest to her.

The reality of long-term medical care has also brought mounting expenses, including treatment costs, prescriptions, travel to appointments, and everyday living needs, adding further stress during a time when the focus should be on comfort, care, and time together.

We’re starting this GoFundMe to help ease some of that burden. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward medical expenses, essential living costs, and supporting Karen and her family through this incredibly difficult chapter.
