Fountain of Mercy Chapel

Donation protected
This GoFundMe was set up by Chris and Tracy Anderson to assist in the completion of The Fountain of Mercy Chapel. The Fountain of Mercy Chapel is the little house that LOVE built located at 18380 South US HWY 63, Rolla, MO 65401. The Chapel is located 8 miles south of Rolla on Little Shaggy Farm.

Chaplain Debbie and her husband, Bob, felt the Lord direct them to build this chapel in 2005 when they purchased their farm. The two are grateful to serve a God whose outstretched arms are unmeasurable and felt that the chapel was to be a place where people could come and encounter him. The Lord expressed that the chapel would be a house of prayer, a place for healing, and for learning about Christ. Even with the Chapel in its unfinished state, our Merciful God drew people to the site, some for prayer, others for refuge from the elements, and others to witness the love of Christ through Bob and Chaplain Debbie. With these recurring divine appointments, a prayer ministry has developed to pray over the chapel and all those who will be served there. The Lord has a plan, and it is always a good plan!

Bob and Debbie began construction on the chapel in the Spring of 2021 by clearing trees and grading the site. Later that year, the utility rough-in was done, and the foundation was poured. Progress was being made until January 2022 when Bob and Debbie were both diagnosed with COVID-19 and were quite sick with it. Debbie recovered, but unfortunately, our beloved Bob passed away on 1 February 2022. Construction of the Chapel resumed in May 2022 after Debbie had time to grieve the love of her life.

Who would you be helping? Chaplain Debra Willhite.
Why? Why help?

The chapel itself is 30 feet by 24 feet with a 12-foot-high wall to accommodate a stained-glass window. The building is wood framed with a metal roof and siding. The work that has been done on the Chapel thus far has been quite costly. When Debbie felt discouraged due to inadequate funds to move forward with a project, the Lord reassured her that He had already provided for the Chapel's every need. This has been witnessed and a testimony as Debbie's local friends and supporters have come forward to assist in some fashion, hence the little building that LOVE built.

However, construction costs have doubled since the project began which has nearly depleted Debbie’s funds, and there is still much to be done. Chaplain Debbie is diligent in her obedience to God’s will, His will for her, and the purpose the Chapel will serve in showing His glory to the community.
How can you help? You can contribute through the GoFundMe, you can donate supplies and/or skills as needed, and you can pray with us. Your support, whether big or small, will help complete the Chapel to allow God’s glory to impact lives in a serious way.

As you can imagine it has been very hard on Chaplain Debbie to do this without her beloved husband, Bob, and the Chapel has immediate as well as ongoing needs. This is where we get to come together as a community of Christ. Some of the immediate needs pertain to finishing the Chapel’s construction and inserting the stained-glass window. The next set of priority needs will pertain to excavating land for parking, and irrigation and landscaping around the chapel. The ongoing chapel needs will be monthly costs due to insurance, electricity, and landscaping. These needs will all be categorized by priority and in a detailed document on The Fountain of Mercy Chapel’s Facebook page along with continuous updates, pictures, and receipts/estimates of project cost. On these priority lists, you will also be able to track your giving and the support you’ve provided.

Bob and Debbie envisioned the chapel as a space for people to connect and encounter God. We humbly ask that you pray and seek the Lords will in donating or providing assistance in any way possible, so that we can successfully compete the chapel and begin positively impacting lives. Thank you for your interest, and we pray for blessings upon you and your loved ones. We look forward to witnessing God's power and His plans come to fruition.
