Fundraiser to support Doctoral studies in Finland

EP Subversión e IdentidadHi! I'm Luciana García, pianist, composer, and educator from Chile.

I was recently accepted into the Doctor of Music program at the University of the Arts Helsinki, Sibelius Academy, where I will be working the next 4 years on my new project: “Unraveling Queer Sound: Pre-Colonial Voices, Post-Colonial Narratives, and Hyper-Technological Futures” ️‍ I am very grateful to be able to count on this experience to continue growing and giving visibility to the queer community through art and culture.

This is a life-changing opportunity, and I am excited to begin this new adventure!

The cost of moving, getting the housing situated, and immigration bureaucracies is a lot, and any help would be well-received as a starting point to my relocation and the whole process :)

Recientemente fui aceptada en el programa de Doctorado en Música de la University of the Arts Helsinki, Sibelius Academy, donde durante los próximos 4 años estaré desarrollando mi nuevo proyecto: “Desentrañando el Sonido Queer: Voces Precoloniales, Narrativas Poscoloniales y Futuros Hipertecnológicos” ️‍.

Estoy muy agradecida de poder contar con esta experiencia para seguir creciendo y dando visibilidad a la comunidad queer a través del arte y la cultura.

Esta es una oportunidad muy importante, y estoy muy feliz de comenzar esta nueva aventura

El costo de la mudanza, encontrar alojamiento y todos los trámites migratorios es bastante alto, por lo que cualquier tipo de ayuda será muy bien recibida como apoyo inicial para mi traslado y todo este proceso :)
