Right now, over 100 children in the remote village of Muguruka have no access
to a proper school and education. We’re raising funds to build two classrooms,
provide school materials, and financially support local teachers.
My name is Omega, and I come from Machame, a small village at the foothills of
Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. After completing my studies in Sociology and
Environmental Education, I set out to follow a lifelong dream: to travel across
Tanzania, especially rural areas, to connect with different communities and cultures. I
hoped to find a second home in every village I visited.
One of the places that left a lasting impression on me was Muguruka, a remote
village near Lake Victoria, on the border with Rwanda. Despite lacking basic
infrastructure—clean water, healthcare, and functioning schools—the people
welcomed me with warmth, kindness, and dignity.
At the village’s school, I found a small building that serves both as a classroom and
as a maternal care center. There are no desks. Children sit on the floor. The teacher
writes on a worn-out blackboard. The "exam table" for pregnant women is nothing
more than a bundle of dry grass.
And yet, I was inspired by what I saw—children eager to learn, and teachers
committed to giving their best with the little they had. It made me reflect deeply on
everything I take for granted. It taught me that even the simplest parts of life—like
going to school—can be a daily struggle for others.
That experience changed my perspective. I realized I wanted to do more than just
visit these villages. I wanted to honor and stand beside the courage, resilience, and
motivation of the children by improving their learning environment, resources, and
access to quality education.
This is how the project for Muguruka was born: to give the children there a chance
at a better future, starting with a proper place to learn.
Our Goals:
● Build 2 classrooms with desks and blackboards
● Provide learning materials (books, pencils, notebooks)
● Fund salaries for 3 local teachers
Why education?
Because education is the strongest tool we have to fight poverty, illiteracy, and
inequality. By removing obstacles and creating better conditions for learning, we can
empower not just students, but entire communities.
In Swahili, we say: "Pole pole" – slowly, slowly.

Ο Στόχος μας: 26.000€ για να χτίσουμε ένα σχολείο για 100 παιδιά στο
Μουγκούρουκα στην Τανζανία
Αυτή τη στιγμή, πάνω από 100 παιδιά στο απομακρυσμένο χωριό
Μουγκούρουκα δεν έχουν πρόσβαση σε εκπαίδευση. Συγκεντρώνουμε
χρήματα για να χτίσουμε δύο αίθουσες διδασκαλίας, να παρέχουμε σχολικά
υλικά και γραφική ύλη και να υποστηρίξουμε οικονομικά τους τοπικούς
δασκάλους.

Ονομάζομαι Ωμέγα και κατάγομαι από το Ματσάμε, ένα μικρό χωριό στους
πρόποδες του όρους Κιλιμάντζαρο, στην Τανζανία. Αφού ολοκλήρωσα τις σπουδές
μου στην Κοινωνιολογία και την Περιβαλλοντική Εκπαίδευση, αποφάσισα να
κυνηγήσω ένα όνειρο ζωής: να ταξιδέψω σε όλη την Τανζανία, και ιδιαίτερα στις
αγροτικές περιοχές, με σκοπό να γνωρίσω διαφορετικές κοινότητες και κουλτούρες.
Ήθελα να βρω ένα δεύτερο σπίτι σε κάθε χωριό που θα επισκεπτόμουν.
Ένα από τα μέρη που με σημάδεψαν ήταν το χωριό Μουγκούρουκα, κοντά στη
λίμνη Βικτώρια, στα σύνορα με τη Ρουάντα. Παρότι οι κάτοικοι στερούνται βασικών
υποδομών — όπως καθαρό νερό, ιατροφαρμακευτική περίθαλψη και λειτουργικά
σχολεία — με υποδέχτηκαν με ζεστασιά, καλοσύνη και αξιοπρέπεια.
Στο σχολείο του χωριού, βρήκα ένα μικρό κτίριο που χρησιμοποιείται ταυτόχρονα ως
αίθουσα διδασκαλίας και ως χώρος φροντίδας για εγκύους. Δεν υπάρχουν έπιπλα.
Τα παιδιά κάθονται στο πάτωμα. Ο δάσκαλος γράφει σε έναν παλιό φθαρμένο
πίνακα. Το "εξεταστικό τραπέζι" για τις εγκύους είναι απλώς ένα στρώμα από ξερό
χόρτο.
Κι όμως, εντυπωσιάστηκα από αυτό που είδα: παιδιά με μεγάλη δίψα για μάθηση και
δασκάλους αφοσιωμένους στο έργο τους, που προσπαθούν να κάνουν το καλύτερο
δυνατό μέσα σε πολύ δύσκολες συνθήκες. Αυτή η εμπειρία με σημάδεψε και με
έκανε να αναλογιστώ πόσα θεωρούμε δεδομένα. Μου έδειξε ότι ακόμη και τα πιο
απλά πράγματα —όπως το να πηγαίνεις σχολείο— μπορεί να είναι ένας καθημερινός
αγώνας για κάποιους ανθρώπους.
Αυτό το ταξίδι δεν ήταν απλώς μια εμπειρία, αλλά μια αφύπνιση. Συνειδητοποίησα
ότι θέλω να κάνω κάτι περισσότερο από το να επισκέπτομαι απλώς τα χωριά. Θέλω
να υποστηρίξω το θάρρος, την αντοχή και την επιμονή των παιδιών,
προσφέροντάς τους ένα καλύτερο μαθησιακό περιβάλλον και την ευκαιρία για
ουσιαστική εκπαίδευση.
Έτσι γεννήθηκε το όραμά μου για το Μουγκούρουκα: να δώσουμε στα παιδιά μια
πραγματική ευκαιρία για ένα καλύτερο μέλλον, ξεκινώντας από ένα αξιοπρεπές
σχολείο.
Οι πρώτοι μας στόχοι είναι:
● Κατασκευή δύο αιθουσών διδασκαλίας με τα απαραίτητα έπιπλα
● Παροχή εκπαιδευτικών υλικών, όπως βιβλία, τετράδια και μολύβια
● Εξασφάλιση δίκαιου και σταθερού μισθού για τουλάχιστον τρεις
δασκάλους
Γιατί εκπαίδευση;
Επειδή η εκπαίδευση είναι το πιο ισχυρό εργαλείο που έχουμε για να
καταπολεμήσουμε τη φτώχεια, τον αναλφαβητισμό και τις κοινωνικές ανισότητες. Αν
αφαιρέσουμε τα εμπόδια και δημιουργήσουμε καλύτερες συνθήκες μάθησης,
μπορούμε να ενδυναμώσουμε όχι μόνο τους μαθητές, αλλά ολόκληρες κοινότητες.
Στα Σουαχίλι λέμε: "Pole pole" – σιγά σιγά.
Η αλλαγή χρειάζεται χρόνο. Όμως με σταθερά βήματα, και με τη δική σας
υποστήριξη, μπορούμε να αρχίσουμε να μεταμορφώνουμε το Muguruka σε έναν
τόπο ελπίδας και ευκαιριών.

Nuestra objetivo: 26.000 € para construir una escuela para 100 niños en
Muguruka, Tanzania
En este momento, más de 100 niños en la remota aldea de Muguruka no tienen
acceso a una escuela y una educación adecuadas. Estamos recaudando fondos
para construir dos aulas, proporcionar material escolar y apoyar económicamente a
los maestros locales.
Me llamo Omega y soy de Machame, una pequeña aldea situada a los pies del
monte Kilimanjaro, en Tanzania. Tras completar mis estudios de Sociología y
Educación Ambiental, me propuse cumplir el sueño de mi vida: viajar por Tanzania,
especialmente por las zonas rurales, para conectar con diferentes comunidades y
culturas. Esperaba encontrar un segundo hogar en cada aldea que visitara.
Uno de los lugares que me dejó una impresión duradera fue Muguruka, un pueblo
remoto cerca del lago Victoria, en la frontera con Ruanda. A pesar de carecer de
infraestructuras básicas —agua potable, asistencia sanitaria y escuelas en
funcionamiento—, la gente me recibió con calidez, amabilidad y dignidad.
En la escuela del pueblo encontré un pequeño edificio que servía tanto de aula
como de centro de atención maternal. No había pupitres. Los niños se sentaban en
el suelo. El maestro escribía en una pizarra muy desgastada. La “mesa de exámen”
ginecológico para las mujeres embarazadas no era más que un montón de hierba
seca.
Sin embargo, lo que vi me inspiró: niños con ganas de aprender y profesores
comprometidos a dar lo mejor de sí mismos con lo poco que tenían. Me hizo
reflexionar profundamente sobre todo lo que doy por sentado. Me enseñó que
incluso las cosas más simples de la vida, como ir al colegio, pueden suponer una
lucha diaria para otras personas.
Esa experiencia cambió mi perspectiva. Me di cuenta de que quería hacer algo más
que visitar estas aldeas. Quería honrar y apoyar el coraje, la resiliencia y la
motivación de los niños mejorando su entorno de aprendizaje, sus recursos y su
acceso a una educación de calidad.
Así nació el proyecto para Muguruka: para dar a los niños de allí la oportunidad de
un futuro mejor, empezando por un lugar adecuado para aprender.
Nuestros objetivos:
● Construir 2 aulas con pupitres y pizarras
● Proporcionar materiales educativos (libros, lápices, cuadernos)
● Financiar los salarios de 3 profesores locales
¿Por qué la educación?
Porque la educación es la herramienta más poderosa que tenemos para luchar
contra la pobreza, el analfabetismo y la desigualdad. Al eliminar los obstáculos y
crear mejores condiciones para el aprendizaje, podemos empoderar no solo a los
estudiantes, sino a comunidades enteras.
En swahili decimos: «Pole pole», poco a poco.
