The Founders’ Scholarship Fund has been established in honor of Tim Grant Sr. and his wife, Joyce, who together founded Ellis County Music Center (originally Guitar Focus) in 1994. Tim Sr.’s passion for music touched countless lives, creating a lasting legacy of enriching the North Texas community through music education. Over the years, Ellis County Music Center has become a cornerstone for aspiring musicians, fostering creativity and personal growth for students of all ages.

This scholarship will support any former or current student who has received music lessons from Ellis County Music Center since its opening in 1994. The annual award is designed to help those pursuing higher education, providing financial assistance for tuition, books, or other educational expenses.

The Founders’ Scholarship Fund is being launched in memory of Tim Grant Sr., who passed away on August 19, 2025.
