Found Mama dog

Hello all,

my name is Kelly and on September 3rd me and my wife found a Boston terrier in the middle of the road. I stopped the car assuming she was hurt but when we picked her up she was in very active labor. We took her into the emergency vet And she was rushed into an emergency c-section. Unfortunately all 4 puppies were already gone and while mama made it through the initial procedure she was already septic from the puppies and’s passed away last night.

the way we found her, in the middle of the road in the middle if the day in Florida, that long in labor and still cool to the touch when we we believe someone left her because they couldn’t

afford the vet or didnt know what to do.

Once I get the final bill from the vet i will be posting it for proof of fees but i would really appreciate any help and assistance you all could offer as we were not expecting to have to open this line of credit for the pup.

we called around to humane society’s in the area but since none of them had a vet on that day we didnt feel comfortable taking her there and decided that taking her to the emergency vet was her best hope. We are so sad she wasn’t able to he saved but we are happy we were able to give her the best fighting chance.
