A few days ago, this beautiful French Bulldog wandered into our lives, and I knew instantly there was no turning back. He's severely emaciated and suffering from a prolapsed rectum due to bacterial infection that breaks my heart every time I see him struggle. The moment our eyes met, this sweet boy didn't see me as a stranger – he just needed someone to love him, and I'm that person. He's already shown me what a velvet boy he is, following me everywhere with such a calm, loving spirit despite everything he's endured. The medication we've started has provided temporary relief, but our veterinarian is clear that he needs surgery to properly repair the prolapse. We're also running tests for intestinal parasites to address his severe weight loss and ensure we're treating everything comprehensively. The estimated cost for his surgery, medication, and parasite testing is roughly $800. I've only known him for days, but he's already stolen my heart completely. This handsome boy deserves all the love and medical care in the world. There's simply no way I can turn away from him now.

*UPDATE** He visited the vet 10/9 at Woodlake Pet Hospital in Houston. They ran a fecal and parvo test and he is negative for both. Diagnosis is Bacterial Infection, however if prolapse again and stays out he will need ER surgery. Two in office injections, prescribed 3 medications & will need to return to vet after to check progress
