¡Hola! Pues, as many of you know, for a few years now, I have found a love in documenting and supporting family and friends in their creative journey. I've always loved to support friends and family and never thought that I would be doing it through a lens. Whether it is helping the tia's record their cooking recipes, the primas with their business, or my beloved Inland Empire and Los Angeles friends with their musical and artistic journey, I always say, "mis manos, mis ojos, estan a tu servicio."
Recently I have been invited to go on tour with bands and document events that require better lens and camera equipment, and I am reaching out to the community to help fund this journey. Like I also say, "con lo que puedas esta bien" and as always, "my hands, my eyes, are at your service," anything helps.
I'm still learning about these tools and have an immense passion for seeing these beautiful moments documented and being able to share them with folx; I am working hard to make myself available for it as much as possible, so don't be shy to ask if you need someone behind the lens to document your magical journey, con humildad aqui estamos.
One of the first people to hand me a camera and tell me I had an "eye" and presence for documenting was my dear friend who recently transitioned, Nectali, aka "Sumo." His beloved teachings and vision live on. He always told me, "you should keep documenting." Y pues aqui estamos. Amongst other creative projects I do on the day-to-day, documenting is at the top of my life aspirations.
We will see how this journey unfolds.
My camera is at your service, and even just a share helps in making this work a possibility.
Gracias,
(In Walter Mercado's voice) con "mucho, mucho amor."
-Mil
