Fostering Hope for a former foster youth

Donation protected
Peter has had a life filled with one injustice after another.  He spent his childhood in foster care moving from home to home. He entered foster care at age two and then eventually was sent to a group home at age seven. At eighteen, Peter had scrounged up $600 to buy a beat up old mini van so he would have something to call his own and would never be homeless. A few months ago, Peter was pulled over for driving without a registration. "I have no family, I have no home," he said to the officers. "If you do this you are taking my lifeline, you're taking away my home". He lost his van and now has no place to call home.  Peter has experienced trauma and it's very scary for him to find safe places to sleep at night. Peter needs all of us to help change his luck. We can all help Peter know that he is valuable and that we care about what happens to him. Our goal is to get Peter a used mini van so he has a safe place to sleep at night and something to call his own. Peter lives in South Bay and is a big Star Wars fan.  We could name the mini-van his New Hope! Thank you so much for helping Peter know that his story matters, that his life matters!
