Foster Strong

So many of you have asked how you can help Whit and Kristin Foster and their amazing kids – Randie, Reagan, Aaron, and Hudson – as Whit continues to battle non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

The short answer is: You’re doing it. You’re praying. You’re believing. You’re carpooling. You’re cooking. You’re visiting. You’re texting. You are lifting the Fosters up in countless beautiful ways and showing them the power of God’s grace through your actions.

But there is a longer, more complicated reality that comes with such protracted medical treatments. As some of you know, Whit has been out of work on long-term disability for many months. Kristin is his rock and has been by his side every moment. However it has required her to take many hours of unpaid leave from her job at the bank.

All of this is coming at a time when their medical bills are mounting. To put the numbers into perspective, Whit is battling lymphoma for the fifth time. He has undergone 25 rounds of chemotherapy and countless other treatments, tests, and procedures. In January, he was admitted to Tufts for two weeks so he could receive the revolutionary, but expensive CAR T-cell therapy. In the last month alone, he has had three surgeries and spent more than two weeks back at Tufts as they worked to stabilize his liver function. To top it off, the Fosters' beautiful daughter Randie has been through two surgeries of her own since the start of 2019.

These costs are staggering and daunting in ways that most of us cannot even imagine. But time and time again, the Fosters have shown us that nothing is impossible when you are grounded in love, compassion, and the very deepest of faith.

Friends, THIS is something more we can do. Please consider donating to help ease the Fosters’ financial burden. Every little bit will help them recover from these expenses and allow them to place their focus where it needs to be – on Whit’s wellness and their incredible family. The Fosters are some of the kindest and most loving people we have ever met. They would be the first ones to help if circumstances were reversed, and the last ones to ask for anything in return. Let’s join together to lift them up once again and to make this long journey a little easier.

Thank you so much for being part of Foster Strong and for continuing to bless Whit, Kristin, and the kids with your friendship and support. You have shared your love and light through a very dark time, and it means the world to them.
