Foster Sisters Rebuild after Hurricane Ian
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Rebekah, and I’m raising money to support the recovery efforts of my family after Hurricane Ian.
Many of you know my mom Suzanne, my aunt Cherie and my Nana Pat. The three of them run a deli & antique store in a rural neighborhood on the outskirts of Fort Myers, FL. The Olga Mall is so much more than a store, though - it is really the heart of the neighborhood and is a place where regulars, locals, tourists and snowbirds share good meals and get to know one another. If you’ve ever met any of these three, you know that they are generous people who have taken care of the Olga community for twenty years and are always there to help anyone in need.
Hurricane Ian flooded the store and their attached home with 16 inches of storm sludge, caused holes in the roof and ruined most of their belongings. This storm has not only destroyed their home, but also their livelihood as the store is their only source of income aside from Social Security. We are so thankful that everyone is safe, but the loss of property and business is devastating.
They are in the process of assessing the damage and trying to figure out their next steps, but whatever they are, they’ll need financial support to move forward.
Please donate what you can and share this post with others in our community. Thank you!
