Foster family funds fighting Josh's Rhabdomyosarcoma
Donation protected
Josh (18) was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in October 2024, this was after discovering a lump in his testicle in June 2024 however Josh was worried and did not want to upset anyone so kept this to himself and a few friends. Josh eventually told his Mum in September, both his parents (Rachel and Nick) supported Josh to attend A&E where various blood tests and scans were completed.
Within the same week Josh was admitted for surgery to have the lump and testicle removed followed by a biopsy to establish if any further treatment was needed.
Within 3 weeks the test results came back and the news was broken to the family that Josh had a rare aggressive form of cancer (Rhabdomyosarcoma).
Since this news the family have had to travel to and from London to specialist hospitals for young people with rare cancers appointments, procedures further scans and will be having specialist surgery and Chemotherapy in the next month.
Although as initially thought the Cancer was an aggressive form, this has now been confirmed to be less aggressive than originally diagnosed.
These funds will support the family to take time off work to enable Josh's Mum, Dad and younger sister to accompany him to the appointments, travel, food and possibly accommodation should Rachel, Nick and Bella need to stay in London overnight and any ongoing treatment that Josh may require. Donna and Lisa would like to help support Rachel and her family to raise these funds any donation will be incredibly appreciated. :)
