Foster boy Watson needs you!

Foster boy Watson is just a baby puppy that needs your help!
Watson’s life started taking sharp turns recently—and not the fun “zoomies in the yard” kind. He was taken from his family after both of his back legs were crushed. He was placed on the euthanasia list at Dallas Animal Services, and heartbreakingly, his family never came for him.
Originally, the plan was simple(ish): fix the badly fractured back leg, give him a fighting chance. Then our friends over at DFW Furgotten Friend stepped in like guardian angels, allowing Watson to receive their 501(c)(3) discount to help with vet costs ($3200 er bill!) . This was huge… because during Watson’s first visit with the wonderful Doc at Pet Folk (a new vet in Lakewood), we discovered that the other back leg was fractured too. Yep. Double the surgeries. Double the recovery.
Before surgery could even happen, Watson started coughing. It got bad fast—like “we’re headed to the emergency ER” bad. He was sent home with instruction to continue antibiotics, but two days later he refused food. Back to the ER we went. X-rays revealed progressed pneumonia, so he was hospitalized overnight with IV meds and fluids. Veterinary Animal Group (pet ER) told us it was touch-and-go.
Watson rallied a bit, but on a trip to West Texas, he crashed again. The San Angelo vet put him on even more meds, including steroids. His most recent X-rays (at Arden Road Animal Clinic ) still looked rough, but the doctor said that they were so much better than before. Tomorrow we recheck him with Arden—fingers, paws, and tails crossed.
If Watson can beat pneumonia, here’s what’s next:
Pin in one back leg
Amputation in the other
We’re currently juggling three separate vet bills, and the road ahead is long, expensive, and full of belly rubs he fully deserves. I’m committed to covering as much as I can, but Foster Mom’s wallet is… let’s say “running on fumes.”
Watson has met the family dog, Moo (friendly & fun vibes so far along with humping), but Magnolia the princess bulldog has filed an official complaint and is demanding Watson AND Moo vacate the premises immediately.
I would love to get Watson healed, happy, and adopted—whether to another loving home or, let’s be honest, possibly keeping him here if his recovery turns into an extended rehabilitation. But first, we need him alive, healthy, and moving again.
If you can help—whether it’s $5, $10, $50, or sharing this link—you’re part of Watson’s comeback story. If 132 people give $25 we could cover the emergency vet cost. Let’s make this boy’s ending a happy one. ❤️
Thank you for helping save Watson. He’s worth every penny, every sleepless night, and every side-eye from Magnolia.
