Fospice Dogs: Saving Seniors

“Fospice” is our unique sponsorship program to provide end-of-life comfort and care to a homeless terminally ill / elderly dog (dogs with more limited time left on this earth). Note: all donations are tax-deductible.
We chose this name for our program based on the hospice idea of providing comfort and care. Our goal is to save a life, and to inspire others to help however possible. Foster Dogs NYC helps find the dog a long-term "forever foster" home, and will donate funds to the dog's rescue organization. Each dog (and foster caretaker) will be provided with a foster home, as well as several special perks: BarkBox subscription, dog bed from Harry Barker, custom watercolor portrait, and professional photo shoot.
With increased dollars, we can donate more funds to each dog's rescue group to help with received vet care. We can also afford to help with future vet care, as well as necessary transportation costs. With such amazing corporations involved, the gifts are provided at no cost to Foster Dogs NYC, though we aim to offer additional aide such as payment for euthanasia and end-of-life expenses.
This should be a positive experience for the foster caretaker, not a sad one. We want to help encourage others to save a senior shelter dog.
