My wife/best friend of 20 yrs was struck with a rare disease in the start of 2000. While everyone was worried about the crash of computers worldwide, others were silently being attacked health wise. EOSINOPHILIC FACIITIS at that point diagnosed in Nov. Finally (After approx. 45 doctor's). This disease turns your skin(all layers) hard as a rock! Long story shortened, Cindy slept in a recliner chair for 2 1/2 yrs because she cudnt bend
to get in and out of bed.She went from one extreme to another in
3wks. After 14 yrs of serious side effects (DVTs aka deep vein thrombosis) total of 4x at this point. In the 14th year she gets hit with squamous cell cancer on right hand only at this point. In the 16th yr she drops to 100 lbs in 2 wks from 144 lbs. So diagnosis EOSINOPHILIC COLLEGENOUS COLITIS.. TO DATE SHES ON 2 COMPOUNDED DRUGS THAT SEEM TO BE WORKING so then they get that under control. Of course getting sick of having all these drugs to take. She's had approx. 33 surgeries 2 plastic surgeries and is currently on a compounded cancer cream to reduce & hopefully kill this crap. At this point she's fighting the dvts and EF COLITIS and the other 30 squamous spots. This is the real kicker INSURANCE won't pay for her cancer medications. We can't afford all these new meds.
Oh and she's been in a Gov. Research for forte(suppose to help your bones grow). 2yrs is max in a lifetime you can take. (Its a shot every am in stomach) side effect cud be cancer (imagine that) . she's also on an experimental shot every 28 days called Nucala for breathing.
The cost of all this new cancer medications is overwhelming. Unbelievable INSURANCE doesn't help at all. So I'm asking for any kind of help for my wife because she'd never ask for help. Thank you for reading this and sharing.
