Many local businesses have been devastated by months of lost income due to mandatory closures. The wedding industry has been particularly hit hard since catering halls and the vendors who are associated with them were forced to close and an abundance of couples have postponed their weddings until next year. Relatedly, many spring, summer, and fall school events that involve formal wear were also canceled or postponed due to the pandemic.
One of those businesses is Forum Tuxedos of Hazlet whose entire season of proms and weddings were lost or postponed and now the slow season is upon them. The owner, Courtney Frank, spent the months that she was closed making and donating hundreds of caps for nurses and healthcare workers at various hospitals around Monmouth County. Businesses like Courtney’s did not receive much PPP protection and there has been very little in the way of rent forgiveness or postponements.
All of Courtney’s clients know that she goes above and beyond to provide the very best service as her ratings will testify to. Forum Tuxedos have provided free tuxedo rentals to Monmouth County high school students who were unable to afford them and/or whose homes got destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in 2012-2013. Forum Tuxedos has also been a reliable community partner when it has come to raising money for school fundraisers. They have consistently provided free tuxedo rentals for school fashion shows and Prom Expo events around the Bayshore and Monmouth County areas without hesitation. Whenever any high school has needed anything, they have always been the first to respond.
Now is the time to show Courtney of Forum Tuxedos that we can support her and help her to get through the slow months until the spring season enables the future brides and grooms as well as those graduating high school students to enjoy shopping at a local small business worth keeping viable. Please consider providing any donation that can help Forum Tuxedos get through these trying times the same way they have helped many of our neighbors over the years. Thank you!
