Hello and thanks for taking the time out of your day to read my story! My name is Aveantai Smith and I am a caring and concerned friend. This actually isn't about me, but for two of my friends of 19 years that are mourning a child at this very moment! One a mother, one an aunt, who lost an only child, and also the only neice! My condolences go out to Paul Pena (father) also because he lost his only daughter and grandmother all at once. I have never experienced such a tragedy that hit so close to home.....ever! I never imagined that it would be these lovely twins. Darlene Smith (mother) Lost her child to day (Aug.3,2015) unexpectedly on her way to pick her up from her great grandmother after getting off work. Unfortunely it didnt work out as planned two lives were cut short........ grandma and little London! I was called from another close friend to come to the hospitial because there had been an accident with our friend and her baby is in critical condition! So I came running because I would expect the same from them if the shoe was on the other foot! When I walked into the room I felt like nothing because at this moment I couldnt do anything to help! As we all watch little London take her last breaths, I said I have to do something, watching my friend go through this is already too much! She passed at around 9:35 pm Aug.3, 2015 (due to irresponsible drivers) at Cooks Childrens Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. Her name was London Marie Pena, she was six years old, born on Jan. 20, 2009, and she was a beautiful child that was full of life. "London loved to sing, dance, was so ready to go back to school, and loved being a little diva", said my friend holding London while she laid lifeless, cold, and beautiful in her arms! (As you can see in the photos) I would love for any and everyone to help my mourning friend, this mourning mother, a mourning father, and their family with the cost of Londons memorial or anything Darlene Smith (mother) and Paul Pena (father) need. Please have a heart and help this family, its the right thing to do! This could of been any of us!
