Their story.....

Trusting in the Lord's calling and provision for their family, the Lounder Family of eight moved to Oklahoma City from New Hampshire in June 2014. They got settled into a new city, a new home, a new church family, a new job, and a new homeschool life with the kids.

In February 2015, they were thrown a curveball when Amanda, age 25,  was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer. Their trust in Jesus's perfect plan for their family, for complete healing and restoration for Amanda and experiencing the peace that surpasses all understanding that can come only from our gracious God, has been a wonderful and powerful testimony to all of us. 

The Lounders are seeing God's mighty work throughout all of  this. When Amanda entered the address for the location where she was to have her Pet Scan and realized it was only about a mile away, she knew God had put them right where they needed to be at just the right time. What comfort these glimpses of His presence in their lives has brought to them! 

In typical Amanda fashion, she is most worried about her loved ones and how they are doing with her diagnosis. Please know that they are optimistic about her recovery! Not only is our Mighty Physician on their side , but her doctors are optimistic as well.  This type of cancer typically occurs in men ages 50-70, so pay no attention to the stastics you find in your google searches. There are simply no  stats for young, healthy women! Instead, turn your worries to prayers, and fix your eyes on Jesus and the victory ahead!
