Hi - my name is Forrest Matthews and and I am a musician and drum builder in North Carolina. After 10 years of dealing with chronic shoulder dislocation, I have scheduled a Latarjet procedure for shoulder instability (see video) on May 15. In addition to the extremely high costs of the procedure, medication, and follow up and rehab appointments, it is projected I will be out of work for about 4 months in recover preventing me from taking place in school and summer programs and performances as well as drum repairs completely. Playing music and repairing instruments is not only my passion but also my main source of income and I am humbly asking for support at any level from the community.
