This is my dad's story. Please help in anyway possible to assist in covering his current medical bill of $20,000.00 and the unknown expense of Car T Cell treatment.


My name Forrest VanPatten and have Large B Cell Lymphoma and I have been receiving treatment at Lemmen Holton for this condition.   My oncologist has referred my to the Bone Marrow Transplant team and they would like to do a Car T Cell transplant to save my life.  Unfortunately, Priority Health has denied the authorization of this transplant as a "Non covered benefit".  The BMT team has tried multiple levels of appeals and are still being denied.  This is strange because they originally approved the Stem Cell Transplant.  Unfortunately I have not gone into remission so that is no longer an option.

A patient does not have to be in remission to receive a Car T Cell transplant.   Perfect for me!


It's quite simple.  If I don't have this approved my prognosis is very bad.  

Although there are no guarantees with the transplant, it could possibly cure me and has had very positive results with other patients.  Resulting in an 80% success rate.


I just turned 50 years old...I'm not ready to give up!
