Former Playboy Centerfold Continues to Need Help
Donation protected
Thrilled to notify all of the wonderful donors (and potentially new donors) that Rosemary has had a successful hip replacement surgery and continues Physical Therapy to regain her mobility. She has moved into a clean, safe, attentive and caring Assisted Living Care Home and continues the journey to regain her full health, mobility, joyful mental state and social activities. We are encouraged by her progress and will continue with updates.
Unfortunately, we've discovered that Rosemary has significant dental issues. It seems she delayed dental care due to lack of funds and is now in need of significant dental treatments. We have been able to negotiate a reduced fee with a qualified and capable Dentist to address her needs which include the replacement of damaged caps, multiple teeth with cavities that must be filled, a replacement bridge and 2 oral surgeries to repair deeper problems. The cost is $60,000 Mexican pesos (at the current exchange rate, that's $3,200 U.S. dollars).
As one of the Campaign organizers, I have changed the title of the campaign to better reflect the nature of her current needs. Once again, I ask you to make a donation to assist Rosemary and to share with friends who may be willing to assist as well. The Dentist will begin the work as soon as we have been able to raise adequate funds to tackle each problem and will start with the most critical issues first.
Any donation amount is greatly appreciated.
With great appreciation for your kindness and generosity,
Val Jones
(BACK STORY) Rosemary, after a life of interesting career choices, has ended up impoverished and living in Mexico. Originally from Great Britain, Rosemary has been struggling to make a life there. While a resident, she made friends with her uplifting, positive and humorous conversations with fellow Ex-Pats.
Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond her control she fell into a deep depression and one evening slipped, fell and broke/ dislocated her right hip. This injury went undiagnosed as she sat in a wheelchair for weeks. Some friends took her to see a local Dr. and the break and dislocation was discovered. Since she has no money, she went to the Seguro Popular Hospital that accepts indigents. A group of friends have been trying to raise funds for the hip replacement operation and have found some donors but most of her friends are retired Ex-Pats living on a fixed income. She has no family and must fend for herself.
We have raised money to buy the prosthesis that will be put inside her hip but we need to pay for Hospital staffing in the way of "helpers/sitters", medicines and bed linens. Once released from the Hospital, we'll need funds to pay for Physical Therapy to get her back on her feet as well as to pay for an Assisted Living Home.
Costs for "helpers/sitters", medicines and linens are running $175.00 USD/day and her Assisted Living Home will be $2,500.00 USD/month.
Surgery was scheduled for (July 18th) but she was too nervous and anxious for the operation to proceed. It's been rescheduled for Monday (July 22nd). Her situation, financially, is dire. Time is of the essence. Any donation, no matter how small, will help Rosemary tremendously. Please find a way to help this wonderful woman.
