Jordan Olivares a former D1 Athlete Fighting to Walk Again.
Jordan Olivares has always been a fighter. At just 9 years old, she appeared on ESPN’s first episode Year of the Quarterback, alongside NFL legends like Dan Marino and Steve Young a glimpse of the determination that would define her life.
Jordan went on to lead Seaside High School to its first-ever CCS Basketball Championship in school history.
Jordan then made history again at Sacramento State, helping lead the women’s basketball team to their first-ever Big Sky Conference Championship Tournament victory.
Jordan continued her journey at Cal State Bakersfield, earning her Master’s Degree in Business Administration before stepping into a career of service as a probation officer with the Kern County Probation Department. She has always been strong. Always driven. Always lifting others.
What Happened Everything changed instantly. Jordan was rushed to the hospital after suddenly losing mobility from the neck down. She was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) a rare condition where the immune system attacks the nerves. Was in ICU for 11 days and was later re hospitalized for a serious infection.
Her condition later progressed into a severe case of Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP)—a long-term neurological disorder requiring ongoing treatment.
5 Months Later Still Fighting Jordan is still battling every day. • No movement from the mid-waist down
• Limited movement in 2 fingers • Severe nerve pain and spasms • Ongoing IVIG treatments
• Fully dependent on daily care
But her mindset? Unbreakable. The Reality Jordan worked hard to buy her first home. Now, she’s fighting to keep it. She did not qualify for disability, leaving her without stable income.
This GoFundMe is her main source of support right now. Where Your Support Goes Your help allows Jordan to focus on healing not survival. Funds will support:
• Medical treatments
• hospital bills
• Long-term rehabilitation
• Medical equipment and caregiving
• Transportation to treatments
•Mortgage and living expenses
• Lost income
