Formby Wanderers FC Defibrillator and equipment costs
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Dannielle and my son Lewis plays for Formby Wanderers FC U11’s along with 12 other fantastic lads! ⚪️
We feel it is vitally important to have a piece of equipment such as a defibrillator for our club as we play in many games including league, cup/shields, friendlies and tournaments and we can travel all over, anywhere from Formby, Southport, Liverpool and out to St Helen’s and beyond. We would rather be safe in the knowledge that we have one and never have to use it, rather than be in the heartbreaking situation of needing one and not having it. Let’s protect everyone.
We are looking at costs of around £1120 including delivery for a iPad SP1 (AED) defibrillator (St John Ambulance recommended) and then £880 will not only go towards new kit and training equipment costs for both our U11’s and U17’s, but we would also like to donate funds to the charity ‘Cry’ (Cardiac Risk for the Young) which is a charity close, not only for our cause but also for some of our parents who have been directly affected by Cardiac Risk and helped by the charity.
So in order to raise some money to help buy a defibrillator, some of our parents and players including myself and Lewis, Gill and Dan, and others have decided to take part in a 1 million step challenge, which will be starting from Tuesday 1st April until Saturday 31st May!! Not only that, I will be taking part on Saturday 31st May, in an abseil down the mighty Anfield, home of Liverpool Football Club!
We know that we are in difficult financial times at the moment so we truly appreciate any donation that is made, so would like to offer a huge thank you in advance from all at Formby Wanderers ⚽️
