For Lilley
Meet Lilley. She's beautiful. She is creative and funny. She is fifteen years old, and she was recently diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer.
What started as a possible sports injury turned out to be an extremely rare soft tissue sarcoma for which there is no specific treatment. The cytogenetics on the tumor revealed an A-Typical Primitive Soft-Tissue Sarcoma with metastasis to the lungs. The current plan involves a hospital stay at VCU for chemotherapy every two weeks, with appointments set to begin radiation in the coming month. The medical bills are astounding at only 9 weeks into this nightmare.
Lilley's father has survived his own cancer twice. Lilley's mother went through her own medical/surgical emergency last year. Lilley has health insurance provided to her by McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia where her mother is employed as a nurse taking care of our veterans.
Anything you can contribute to this family will go a long way in helping to heal their spirits, while the medical staff of VCU works on healing her body. The money you donate will be used to pay out-of-pocket expenses for Lilley's cancer treatments.
Thank you so much for taking the time to think of us. Your positive vibes and prayers are always welcomed.
Sincerely,
The Family of Lilley Sickal
