We all think that things like this can't happen to our family, but cancer doesn't care who it chooses.

My name is Katie Pendleton and I have a twin brother named Josh. When he had triplets 15 years ago, we were excited and overjoyed. How often does that really happen?!?! It has been such a joy to watch them grow up and become their own individuals.

On June 29, 2024, Leigh went to the doctor because she was tired, and her feet were swollen. Something just wasn't right. After doing bloodwork, her WBC count was off the charts. Urgent care immediately transported her to Levine Children's Hospital. It was there that the doctors officially diagnosed her with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

I have created this Go Fund Me account to ease the burden of Leigh's family. Over the next days, weeks, and months ahead they will need to be at countless doctor appointments, hospital stays, surgeries, and chemotherapy sessions. As you can imagine there are normal costs of everyday living...such as their mortgage, food, gas, car payments, etc... and the medical costs can be astronomical. This will enable their family to focus on Leigh and her fight to get better.
