With shattered hearts, we share that on March 24, 2026, Jake was called home far too soon.
There are no words that truly capture the loss we feel. Jake wasn’t just a son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, or friend—he was a light. The kind of light that filled every room, lifted every spirit, and made everyone feel like they belonged. If you knew Jake, you knew his laugh, his jokes, and the way he made you feel seen. No matter who you were, you were always “Cuz” to him—because to Jake, everyone was family.
He was the life of the party in the most genuine way—not for attention, but because he loved bringing joy to others. He had a heart that gave endlessly, always ready to help, always ready to love, and always ready to show up for the people in his life. Jake was just beginning to truly live, to embrace life fully, and that makes this loss even more heartbreaking.
We are asking for support for Jake’s family—his parents, Paul and Sarah, and his sisters, Gabby and Kayla—as they navigate a pain no family should ever have to endure. Any donation, share, or act of kindness means more than words can express and will help provide some relief during this incredibly difficult time.
If you’re able, we ask something just as meaningful—please leave a comment and share a memory or story about Jake. Tell us about a time he made you laugh, showed up for you, or simply made your day better. Those stories will help keep his spirit alive and remind his family just how deeply he was loved.
If you cannot give, please share this page and take a moment today to reach out to someone you care about. Sometimes a simple message can mean everything.
In honor of Jake, we also want to speak openly about mental health. Struggles are often invisible, and no one should ever feel alone. If you or someone you know is hurting, please reach out. You can call or text 988 to connect with the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or chat via 988lifeline.org. There is help. There is hope. And you are never alone.
Let’s honor Jake by loving harder, checking in more often, and holding our people a little closer. His light, his laughter, and his love will live on through all of us.
