I’m not just asking for your help — I’m inviting you to be part of a journey that transforms survival into strength, pain into purpose, and isolation into community.
After years of struggling with PTSD and surviving seven “hurt myself” attempts, I finally found something that gave me hope: life on the water. Thanks to a loaned narrowboat from Forces Veterans Afloat (FVA) , I discovered peace, independence, and even laughter again — not just for myself, but for others through stand-up comedy and peer support.
But the boat I’ve called home, Stingray, must be passed on to help the next veteran in crisis. And that’s where you come in.
I need help securing a “Forever Boat” — a permanent, mobile home where I can continue to heal, perform comedy, and most importantly, support other wounded veterans through projects like FVA and Project COMEDY . This isn't just about giving me a place to live — it's about creating a floating base of operations where I can give back, bring joy, and help others find the light I once lost.
You might look at the fundraising goal and think it’s high. But compare it to the price of a flat — one that would trap me in isolation and jeopardize my recovery. A narrowboat gives me freedom, stability, and a unique way to connect with veterans in need, wherever they are. It lets me take my recovery — and my mission — on the road… or rather, down the canals.
Here’s what your support will do:
- Secure a home where I can live safely and independently.
- Launch a career in comedy that brings light to dark places.
- Create a lifeline for other struggling veterans — through support, conversation, and laughter.
I’m open to partnerships, sponsorships, and collaborations that align with my values: helping others, promoting positive mental health, and celebrating life on our canal networks.
This is more than a fundraiser. It’s a chance to help me — and many others — not just survive, but truly live again.
Please give what you can, share this message, and be part of something powerful.
Together, we can turn pain into purpose — and build a future worth fighting for.
