Dear Family and friends,
I want to tell you about our daughter, Jeannette Rose Boland.
She was born on April 6, 1998. She came into the world abruptly!Mark caught her head with his left hand and cut the cord with his right. Jeannette was considered gifted and talented her first week of school. She was spirited, strong willed and always stuck up for the underdog ( those who were bullied, overweight, just different)
She was a loving, caring person. She was our daughter, a big sister, a loving wife. Her Dad says, "As a new parent, I didn't fully understand what gifted and talented meant, until she became a mother, a dedicated mother to three incredible boys. As quoted by one of her aunts, "She lived life on her terms!" We brought an exceptional person into this world and unfortunately out of it as well.
On the evening of April 6th, her 22nd birthday, she suffered a severe asthma attack. She was rushed to the hospital. There she needed to be put on a ventilator as she stopped breathing while the paramedics tried to help her. This resulted in her becoming brain dead. Events happened suddenly! We were making daily decisions about her care. Then we were faced with the reality that she left us too soon!
Today, we are still in shock as we all are trying to figure out life in our new "normal". As we are making arrangements for her, we are faced with how to cover all the expenses of her sudden and devastating passing as well as how best to support Ricardo and their legacy of three precious boys. After paying for her cremation and burial plot, the money remaining will be split three ways to start college funds for Matthew, Lucas, and Adam.
Please consider donating if you are able to do so! Any amount is appreciated! We are surrounded by and blessed with an extended group of loving and caring people: family members, friends, and neighbors.
We thank you in advance and from the bottom of our hearts,
Jodi, Mark, Ricardo, Mark, Andrew, Michelle, Matthew, Lucas, and Adam
